An Easy Way to Stay Motivated without Stress

Whether your work is at home or in an office, you can stay energized without stressing.

You are pushing yourself to finish a project.  The deadline is closing in.  Only the upcoming deadline is motivating you to work harder.  The excitement about the project has disappeared. In its place is stress. You notice how tight your body is.  Your stomach is upset and you are clenching your teeth at night.  This is no way to live!  There has to be an easy way to stay motivated without all this stress!

Here’s the good news.  I’m going to share with you a simple, effective way to enjoy what you are doing while eliminating or at least minimizing the stress.

“Working hard” is an old message that we have been given from family and society.  You buckle down doing what needs to be done without any regard for your health or other needs you may have.  That’s what’s expected.  But, there’s another easier way that still gets things done and sometimes saves a lot of missteps in the process.

Have you ever had a day where you felt you were in sync?  Every phone call went well.  What you needed just showed up.  You were feeling good!

Do you know what’s going on when that happens?  You are using both sides of your brain, your creative intuitive side and your practical linear side.

  • Intuitively, you know when to make that phone call.  Practically, you are clear on the next step that needs to happen.
  • Creatively you see the whole picture.  You feel how the parts fit together.  Practically, you know what resources you need.

But how do you make sure you are using both sides of your brain?  If you respond to the demand that the project be finished in a certain way by a certain time, you shrink into fear which closes down your intuitive, creative side.  Yet, if you choose to leave the stress by moving into a dream world where there are no problems, you lose any practical intelligence and eventually drop back into the reality of your situation which has now been made worse because you didn’t stay aware.

An Exercise to Bring Together Both Sides of Your Brain

As a Color Therapist, I have found a simple way to bring both sides of you together.  Your creative, intuitive self vibrates as PurpleYour practical, linear self vibrates as Yellow.  By filling yourself with these vibrations, both sides of you are   available.  Here’s an exercise that will help.

  1. Allow yourself to breath in the Yellow from the Iris in the picture.  Imagine that this color is filling in every cell in your body.  You become Yellow.
  2. Now shift to the Purple Irises.  Breathe them into your cells alongside the Yellow until they are equally filling your inner space.
  3. Feel how you are full of Purple and Yellow.
  4. Just as you would in a dream, imagine that you can talk to the two colors.  Ask them to work together in perfect harmony.  Ask them to teach you how to use both sides of who you are with ease.
  5. Feel this connection being made.
  6. Now see yourself in an observation booth.  You are the orchestrator of what happens next.  You can choose when to use your creativity and intuition.  You can call on your experience and understanding of how things work.

As you stand in the strength of this, there is no fear.  There is curiosity.  You are inspired by the vision of what you are creating and you are motivated to take the steps to bring that vision into reality.  Instead of fear, there is excitement.

As you move forward with the project, you notice how one step flows into the next one.  You suddenly think of a person you know who can help with the project.  You become aware of a flaw in the original design.  You know you can put together a clear plan that will convince your boss to change the design.  Each time something comes up that could be seen as a roadblock, you feel the Yellow and Purple working with you so that you don’t shrink into stress and fear.

You might find yourself bringing Purple and Yellow into your work space through pictures, wall paint, or accessories.  Or you might find an appetite for foods in these colors.  These will help you to take in more of the balance of Purple and Yellow.  This will also remind you to use this balance.

Since everything around is vibrating, you are simply bringing together the vibrations of Purple and Yellow to allow the partnership of two parts of yourself.  Then, your brain works from both sides.  And, you can draw on both your human experience and your knowing that goes deeper.

There will be times that you are pulled into the old life of drama and stress; but you will immediately know that something is “off.”  Nothing is flowing.  Your body tells you it’s in distress. At that moment, you can stop.  Go back to the above visualization.  Focusing on Purple and Yellow will change how you feel and will also change what you experience.

You may feel skeptical if this is new to you.  That’s natural.  I encourage you to give it a try.  I guarantee that you will be pleasantly surprised so long as you can be open and willing to experience something different.

Now that you have experienced a simple way to stay motivated without stress, it’s time to apply it.  Understanding the process can be easier than applying it to a specific situation.  That’s where I come in. I’m here to guide you through the process.  This has been my work for many years.  I am freely offering you a half hour of my time so that we can look at your particular situation.  I will give you some tips that will help immediately and then introduce you to ways I can support you as you move forward.  Click this link to fill out information to start the process so that we can set up a time to talk by phone.  http://www.TransformationalTools.com/session
