Move Towards Your Inner Power & Walk Through Your Shadows

 1. Take baby steps toward your fear. You don't need to go on a parachute or  to the edge of The grand Canyon the first day--just go on top of a small hill (or a glass elevator) and look down. You don't need to write the entire book this weekend--just take some time to make an outline.


2.  Learn tools or processes that can help you dissolve your fear. There are many "shortcuts" out there-techniques that are effective at dissipating the fear on a deep level. One of my favorites is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), also known as Tapping-see how to do that here:

 

  • Here's a global fears top ten: 
    1. Fear of public speaking (Glossophobia)
    2. Fear of death (Necrophobia)
    3. Fear of spiders (Arachnophobia)
    4. Fear of darkness (Achluophobia)
    5. Fear of heights (Acrophobia)
    6. Fear of people or social situations (Sociophobia)
    7. Fear of flying (Aerophobia)
    8. Fear of open spaces (Agoraphobia)
    9. Fear of thunder and lightning (Brontophobia)
    10. Fear of confined spaces (Claustrophobia

Typically, EFT is facilitated with a practitioner for several sessions, while the individual is tapping on their own every day. EFT is especially effective when integrated with peak performance success coaching.  

Clients are successfully guided to release fear and completely reverse phobias after only few sessions!

3. Make a commitment to yourself to keep moving toward that fear until you're on the other side.   Find a buddy and/or a coach to help support you. Tell your buddy what your commitment is and ask him or her to stick by you through your process.

Aura Sheilding and Light & Love Emittance

How do You Know if You Feel Fear or is it Your Intuition?

I am very intuitive as are many of you reading this article.  When I experience the "chills-tingles" and a feeling that rings true I know it's my intuition- or that something is true...no matter what.

Today a coaching client revealed to me in the first  three minutes that she is "very intuitive" was wondering if her feelings and actions were perhaps fear based; was it fear or intuition that was leading her to feel "compelled" to take some actions that she was not happy about, that she was seeing me today to gain greater insight into and understand if it was fear or intuition that was leading her.

 This evening, no coincidence that nothing was "on demand" TV  that I was interested in, so I picked up a professional journal that was on my coffee table all week - "Choice the magazine of professional coaching" ; this issue focusing on "Intuition & Coaching".  One of the many interesting articles written by colleagues pertains to the fear or intuition question.
 

 Now, back to my client.  After discussing her issues and challenges, we decided to "tap" (EFT- Emotional Freedom Techniques) on the issue of feeling compelled to do something that she admittedly felt shame  about - that was clearly giving her anxiety attacks. 


When we began, her feeling of distress about this was 10 on a scale of 1-10.  After several rounds of tapping she was down to 5, and saying she was feeling more at ease, relaxed.

In the process, a few core issues revealed themselves - revelations to her and more material for us to work on in 2012.  In the process, I also gave her three medical referrals to holistic doctors.  I used my intuition in facilitating EFT and it guided all my statements and questions, which gave me a greater insight into what my client truly needed.  


This of course gave my client a deeper level of understanding and clarity as well, because I  tuned into her through my intuition and not the analytical side of my brain. 

 

Intuition is always the winner - follow your gut - no matter what - trust yourself,  honor your true feelings (emotional and physical) and act on them.

How to forgive yourself and move on...

  4.  Forgive yourself  for mistakes; let go and move on. 

Self-forgiveness is essential in order to forgive anyone else.  Forgiveness is essential to let go of anger.  Letting go of anger is essential to be happier.  Especially in "the new normal" this is a no-brainer :).

Easier said than done?  Try EFT- tapping to forgive yourself- keeping in mind in order to forgive anyone else- even partially (that's OK- forgiveness of others can be a % )- that complete forgiveness of self must come about first. 

 Here is my short self-forgiveness EFT script you can follow along with and place your own words-phrases on the blanks.  I've left you lot's of space for improvision and feel free to add more!  View my short intro EFT video   and find  a helpful a diagram of the tapping points on  EFT web page . 

 First the Set-up Phrase with Karate chop point or the sore spot massage:

 1.  Even though that was such a terrible mishap when I______ at the _______, I fully and deeply love and accept myself.

2.  Even though everyone saw when I _____________, I fully and deeply love and accept myself.

3.  Even though I feel so __________ for having said ______________, I fully and deeply love and accept myself.

 Tapping rounds on all of the points of the short version:

  1. ___________. :(

  2.  _______________!!!!

  3.  how could I ______????

  4.   It's OK

  5.   It worked out.

  6.        ""

  7.  Forgive myself and let go

  8.     ""

 Sit back a few deep breaths to clear your mind.  Feel better?

This is a simple example and is adaptable to many self forgiveness issues.  It's really up to you to have the intention to forgive yourself and move on...

Managing Stress for the Holidays with EFT

Here is my simple tapping script for this: 
 
Set up phrase (karate chop or massage on upper chest).
-Even tho I am feeling soo stressed about going to __ for the holidays, I fully and deeply love & respect myself
-Even tho I know this happens to me every year and it's ridiculous to become so stressed, I fully and deeply love and respect myself.
-Even tho I know the holidays are about gratefulness & peace (inner and outer!)) and I feel full of dread, I know I can get thru this.

round of tapping: get thru it!
check in with your stress level about the holdays and I bet it's much lower.
Repeat this everyday, visualize positive celebrations, take time for yourself and keep up the gratefulness lists.

Hurricane/Disaster Emotional Relief with EFT

While you must follow common sense and evacuate when it’s necessary and  make sure you have enough emergency supplies on hand, there is no need to spend hours or even minutes in terror while riding out the storm.

Neurobiologist Jill Bolte Taylor explains that the brain and body are
designed to react to trauma by setting off an emotional response and that
the neurophysiology of the body is set up to allow us to feel that emotion
AND RELEASE IT within 90 seconds.

It’s when we hold on to the emotion, and replay the pattern, that the
emotional response gets caught in our body and we hold on to the anxiety,
the stress, and even the terror.

So..the  best time to tap away the emotion is when you are feeling it -before it gets a chance to get stuck in your body.

If you think about it, releasing the anxiety and stress leaves you more clear-headed to logically deal with traumatic events such as hurricanes.

TIP #1: TAP IN THE MOMENT
If you find yourself experiencing this hurricane, or any other scary event,
tap while it is happening. As soon as you feel any anxiety, stress or
terror, start tapping on the EFT tapping points.

If you are not familiar with EFT you can view charts of the tapping pointshere as well as my intro EFT video.

Don’t worry about a setup statement or what to say while tapping the side of
the hand/karate chop point.  That’s designed to get you focused on the
problem, and if you are in the middle of the storm, you are already focused
on the problem.

So simply start tapping the points on the face, collarbone, and under the
arm. You can say whatever is going through your mind, or relate what is
happening around you, or say something that makes you feel better such as,
“I’m safe, I’m OK right now, I will survive.”

TIP #2: THE FOREHEAD HOLD
This is great to teach children, or to do with children, and of course for
yourself.

Placing the palm of your hand across your forehead helps bring energy and
blood into the forebrain of your body and get you out of the fight-or-flight
response that drains the blood from your forehead to your chest (fight) or your legs (flee).

Lightly holding the palm of your hand across your forehead – sometimes for
10 or 15 minutes or more – will help you think clearly just when you need it
the most. This will also retrain your body not to go into that
fight-or-flight blood-rushing-from-your brain response.

You might find yourself doing this instinctively, especially with your
children. However, doing this for a few seconds doesn’t help that much – to
get maximum benefit, you want to hold your hand across the forehead until
you feel the pulsing  above the eyebrows on both sides of the forehead.

And!  you can supercharge your EFT tapping by placing the palm of one hand
across your forehead and tapping the points with your other hand.

TIP #3: TAP THE GAMUT POINT

Mostly forgotten recently in tapping, and hugely underutilized, the Gamut
Point on the back of the hand directly influences the meridian (energy
channel) that is involved in the fight-or-flight reaction.

Anytime you feel a sudden rush of emotion such as fear or anxiety (or even
anger or frustration) tapping or massaging the Gamut Point may help lower
the intensity of your reaction.

To find the Gamut Point, make a fist with one hand, and you will see a
depression between the knuckles of the fourth and fifth fingers on the back
of the hand (not between the knuckles but a little beneath the knuckles on
the hand). This depression is where to tap – or rub – to help release the
fear so you can feel safe.

BTW- Massaging the Gamut Point really helps in social situations if you  feel as if  you may  lose it and don’t
want to tap the face points.

Again, if you are feeling the fear in the moment, don’t worry so much about
what to say. You don’t really have to say anything. Just focus on the
feeling, massage or tap the Gamut Point, and notice as you feel calmer and
more able to handle the situation.

You may add the Gamut Point to your EFT tapping sequence.

Experiment with these three processes – tapping the EFT points in the moment
while focused on your emotional reaction, holding your forehead in the palm
of your hand (remember this is great for kids) and taking advantage of the
Gamut Point on the back of your hand.

I trust that we will stay safe and stay calm through the storm that is about to hit NYC and Long Island in the wee hours.  I have my suitcase packed and will sleep in clothes to go..with cats in the carrier!

Are EFT Success Stories Really True??

If you've ever heard of EFT Tapping 
you've probably heard some amazing
stories about the results that people
have gotten with it…
And like most people, you've probably
thought to yourself something like 
"will it work for me?" or "are all those EFT
success stories really true?"
After all, you want to know how it can
impact your life.  But when you hear
all those stories about how miraculous
it is you can't help but ask if it's
not working for some people…
And the honest answer is…yes.  Sometimes
people don't get the results they're 
looking for.
But there's a reason and a bigger, more 
important question… 
When somebody hasn't gotten results the
question is WHY didn't they get results,
because EFT works spectacularly well.
From what I've seen it tends to be
because they didn't fully understand how
to tap properly and they weren't completely 
comfortable with knowing what to say and 
what to focus on while they were tapping.  
And that's understandable.  When something's
new to you, you have to get a feel for how
to do it.So here's what I suggest as a solution, 
because I want you to be able to get the
amazing results that people get everyday
with tapping…
To use EFT Tapping effectively I suggest 
you watch an EFT expert doing Tapping with 
somebody and tap along.  You can  do that with me 
on my short video.
 
Additionally,  last week the team behind the documentary 
film "The Tapping Solution" released the video from their
3 day "Tapping Experience" live event.  This is a phenomenal
event that was run by EFT expert Carol Look that was absolutely 
leife changing and can be life changing for you as well.
Tapping works miracles every day and you deserve to have one of
 those miracles yourself.  If you want to really learn how to do EFT
tapping well and get spectacular results in your life check out this page 
And here's something REALLY important to remember…there's
nothing to risk by getting this, watching it and tapping along.
If you watch the DVD's and don't get results
you can return it.  But what you have to gain…is a LOT:
  •  Remove stress, anxiety  an other limiting negative emotion
  • Eliminate physical pain…
  • Remove  limiting beliefs and other blocksto being successful…and so much more.  
Tapping works on so many things…and watching 
these videos and tapping along is such an easy
way to do it for yourself and do it properly.
