Are you ready for abundance and prosperity in
your life? What if you could open the space to create more
good in your life by de-cluttering? Would you be willing to
make the necessary changes? Ready, set, go!
I have worked with people from all around the world who
also have clutter challenges. This seems to be part of the
human experience; for many or most. We went through the
80s and 90s where more and bigger was better. It was a better
economy and credit was easy to get. People
were moving up into bigger homes and bigger homes mean more
things. Very few people saw what was ahead in
the upcoming years.
What creates clutter in our lives? Very often, we fill
our lives with stuff to fill in unfilled needs in our
lives. We also can use things to provide a protection
around us from hurt and pain. The first step is the
awareness, and then taking responsibility to move through this
challenge and desiring this change. If we truly desire
abundance and prosperity
in our lives, we have to make this commitment to change and
transformation.
Most of us just have too much 'stuff' and do not have the
organizational know-how to keep things in order. We may be
too busy or have never learned the skills to have a place for
everything. Many times, however, a challenging life
situation such as a long-term illness or crisis in the home
creates a cluttered and chaotic environment. Many
professional organizers see this time and time again. There
is also many hoarders in the world which is the most challenging
situation for professional organizers. If you have watched
the TV show, "Hoarders", you know that this situation goes beyond
clutter and disorganization. Both
professional organizers and counseling support is needed for
hoarding situation.
How did I get so much stuff? That is a question I,
like many, ask ourselves on a regular basis.
My own personal challenge brought a time of major clutter and
disorganization in my life and home; specifically during my time
of caregiving for my late husband. I am
still in the process of getting rid of things and reorganizing my
life and physical stuff. It takes a lot of
time and energy to do this and this is where a big part of the
commitment comes in. Any spiritual work is
like peeling the layers of an onion. We
continue to go deeper and deeper. As we
release physical things from our life, we receive greater
openness for abundance and prosperity
to move into these spaces.
Spiritually we are being called to clean out within and
without, and to lighten up and let go. We are
being asked to focus on the priorities in our life and simplify
in every area of our lives. We are being
called to know a deeper understanding of who we truly are and in
this knowingness, letting go of anything not serving our higher
purpose is required.
Here are some tips for taking control of our lives through
de-cluttering and creating the space for more abundance
and prosperity.
Step 1. Take an honest look at
what’s going on in your life. Our outer world
is a reflection of what is going on within us.
Like a mirror, it reflects back to us what is going on in our
inner world. If our outer world is messy,
clutter, disorganized, we want to look at our spiritual world.
How much joy, peace, abundance and prosperity are
we allowing into our life?
Where is there clutter in your home, office, thoughts,
lifestyle and even relationships? Each
and every one of us have some clutter and disorganization and our
own comfort level with it. Some people have a
very small threshold for clutter and a cluttered desk is
challenging to them. Most of us are probably
in the middle between that level and hoarders.
If you truly see yourself as a hoarder, when you are ready, find
a professional organizer and if needed a counselor to help you to
make the changes.
Step 2: Decide on your
why. What would you like to receive in your
life? Abundance and prosperity come in
many ways. Is it peace of mind and
simplicity? Are you looking for
relationship blessings? What about more time
to focus on the important things in life?
Would you like the space to do more things you truly enjoy
without having to clean knickknacks?
Meditate and contemplate on what new doors of opportunity would
you like to experience. The why will keep you
moving forward and get you to letting go with more ease and to
meet your goals.
Step 3: When you are ready to make
changes, take one step at a time. Professional
organizers recommend taking one room at a time; usually one
drawer or closet at a time. As you see the
progress, reward yourself; but not with bringing in more
stuff.
Step 4. As you work through releasing
your stuff, create bags and boxes sorted for charity, for trash,
for freecycle and if needed, a not sure pile.
Get rid of the boxes and bags immediately.
When it is gone, we rarely if ever miss it.
See your goods going to someone who will use and enjoy your
items.
Step 5: Ready to
begin. See this as a part of your spiritual
evolution, because it is. You are becoming
more within. As we let go of more on the outer
realms, our Light grows brighter and we open the space for more
joy, peace, tranquility and abundance and prosperity in
every area of our life.
Namaste! I salute this Light
within you.
