Niche marketing is important for a million reasons and
they are all in dollars.
Discovering your Niche in Business is one the most important things you will ever do. Imagine what it would be like to market your business to people without telling them what your business is. That would be pretty difficult. If you're in business you have something you are offering. The more you pin point what you offer and who would benefit the more people will be able to identify with what your selling and recognize themselves in your message.
One of the first things I do with my business clients is help them define their Niche. If you don't have a niche or your having a difficult time figuring out what your niche is take this question and answer quiz and find out. It will forever change your business for the better.
1. If you could do something all day long what would it be?
2. If you were going to write a how to book in a week what subject would you choose?
3. What are some of your past careers?
4. What obstacles in your life have you successfully overcome and how?
5. What life experiences of yours could others learn from?
Based on your answers from the above questions come up with three target markets. Then use the questions below as a check list the one you checked the most is the winner that will be your niche.
1. This group of people has specialized interests and needs.
2. They have a strong desire for what you offer.
3. This group is easy to reach individual prospects.
4. You enjoy working with people in this niche.
5. The group is small enough that your competition is likely to over look it.
6. You are or used to be part of this group.
7. Your target prospects are in the financial position to afford your products and services.
8. The group is large enough to produce the volume of business you want.
9. You can see yourself creating products and services to offer your niche market.
Once you have defined what your niche is and you feel comfortable with it you are on your way to creating a successful and rewarding business.
Don't worry that by defining your niche you are leaving people out. The best way to create trust is to show your prospective clients that you have a specialty. It builds confidence and gives you the credibility you need in order to succeed in business.
Niche Marketing is the best way to position yourself as a expert. Ask yourself the question would you rather deal with someone who takes on everyone or who is a specialist in a particular area? I would choose the specialist every time. We tend to put more confidence in someone who spends all their time concentrating on one area of expertise.
