How to add a vanity Redirect for Google+ on your own site

NOTE: Google plus URLs are miles long and it is always easier to offer the user a simple solution a tidy short url that is attached to your own website, blog or fan page..  For this reason I offer you the following way to add a redirect you can use on your G+(Googleplus) URL.. 


To do this you need to know how to access your sites Root files. Or if you have a web person they can do it for you.. 

#1/ in the root of your site create a folder called [google+ or G+ or +]

#2/ in the folder you just created, create an index.php file [this will not work with an html file] and put this code in there.. 

SAMPLE: this is my Google page_ID NOTE: only the numeric portion--107828564012543852080 [you will find this in the browser bar 
https://plus.google.com/u/0/107828564012543852080/ when you are on your own profile in Google+]

Gift giving can be an adventure or trial depending on how you go about it.  Here are some things I have learned that allow me to pick the gift that fits the person.

 

 

  1. Think Ahead   Jot down a reminder on your calendar to set aside    some time to think about gift giving.

 

 

·         Whom will you give?

·         How much can you afford to spend?

·         When do you want the gift to be wrapped and ready?

 

2. What is each person like? 

      
What are their preferences?

 

 Don’t buy a gift just because you would like it!

 Think about what they would treasure. 

 What gift would feel special to them? 

 What gift would let them know that you recognize who they are?




    What do they do for fun? Is there a sport or a hobby that they enjoy?

    What do they need for their work or school?

    Do they have a favorite Color?  Color is important.  Notice what colors this person wears and what color they have in their home.  If the gift only comes in black or brown (for example, a satchel) choose the color they would like for the wrapping paper.

  

 3.        Gift Cards If you decide to use a gift card, buy some small item this person will enjoy.  Wrap it carefully.  Include a special note.  That way the gift is still personal and they know you are offering a bit of yourself.

Passion, Expertise & The Three Second Rule

I believe that the pros’ of writing a book far outweigh the cons, especially when it can be so easy.

Most business owners and entrepreneurs are very busy people.  They are successful, they are experts at what they do and they are also juggling a lot of things such as, writing blogs, putting together their ezines, creating programs, products, sales and marketing, not to mention fulfillment.

That’s just the business.  They have a life too.  Who wants to work 24/7?

When you look at just how busy they are, where would they find the time to write a book?

A well-known and common superstition is the ‘three-second rule’.  It’s quite simple: If you’ve dropped something, it’s still good if it’s picked up within three seconds.

If something is really important, we always find the time.  What if we apply the three-second rule to writing your book?  Wouldn’t you act quickly when you realize how much of a benefit it would be and what a boost it would be to your business if you did write a book?

Here are 3 things that writing a book can do for your business:

  • Builds your reputation and your credibility and attracts higher paying clients.

How to forgive yourself and move on...

  4.  Forgive yourself  for mistakes; let go and move on. 

Self-forgiveness is essential in order to forgive anyone else.  Forgiveness is essential to let go of anger.  Letting go of anger is essential to be happier.  Especially in "the new normal" this is a no-brainer :).

Easier said than done?  Try EFT- tapping to forgive yourself- keeping in mind in order to forgive anyone else- even partially (that's OK- forgiveness of others can be a % )- that complete forgiveness of self must come about first. 

 Here is my short self-forgiveness EFT script you can follow along with and place your own words-phrases on the blanks.  I've left you lot's of space for improvision and feel free to add more!  View my short intro EFT video   and find  a helpful a diagram of the tapping points on  EFT web page . 

 First the Set-up Phrase with Karate chop point or the sore spot massage:

 1.  Even though that was such a terrible mishap when I______ at the _______, I fully and deeply love and accept myself.

2.  Even though everyone saw when I _____________, I fully and deeply love and accept myself.

3.  Even though I feel so __________ for having said ______________, I fully and deeply love and accept myself.

 Tapping rounds on all of the points of the short version:

  1. ___________. :(

  2.  _______________!!!!

  3.  how could I ______????

  4.   It's OK

  5.   It worked out.

  6.        ""

  7.  Forgive myself and let go

  8.     ""

 Sit back a few deep breaths to clear your mind.  Feel better?

This is a simple example and is adaptable to many self forgiveness issues.  It's really up to you to have the intention to forgive yourself and move on...

Ten tips to create optimal productivity, happiness and confidence!

 Since then, I've been asked to expand the tips and to include a few new key word phrases:

 "the new normal",  "difficult times", "chaos"  and  a few statements about “Managing with Grace, Style and Integrity in Impossibly Difficult Times,” the title of a panel discussion at an upcoming "Power Breakfast"  organized by Long Island Business News.

 Here are the original "tips with added text and the inclusion of the above.

 1.  Listen to and follow your intuition.

During these trying and difficult times it's been shown that it's often necessary to reprioritize to get best outcomes.   Your intuition is most often correct when it comes to your life, work and relationships.  So even if it's an inkling feeling - a tiny revelation- take a moment to recognize that and then move forward.
 
2.  Stay within your integrity- no matter what.

No reason or person is important enough to ever stray.  If you have  tried this over the years, whether intentionally or not, then you know it always backfires.

 3.  Love and laugh!

 Both are proven stress reducers.  Happiness is contagious - many need more of that now while surrounded by global negativity, difficult times, chaos and immersed in "the new normal".

 4.  Forgive yourself  for mistakes; let go and move on. 

Self-forgiveness is essential in order to forgive anyone else.  Forgiveness is essential to let go of anger.  Letting go of anger is essential to be happier.  Especially in "the new normal" this is a no-brainer :).

5.  Take time each day  to relax, to dream.

We need our "down" time more than ever now, living in these difficult times.  Honor your method of relaxation and allow dreams to surface.  Be open to learning additional relaxation techniques and give them a try.. whatever works for you whenever you do it is OK as long as it has no negative effects on health or  overlaps with personal or work responsibilities.  If things are unmanageable - get help.

 6.  Be a great listener.

Listening is the most important part of communication.  If you do not understand what is being said, ask. Listen well and your response will  be more on target.

7.  Stay healthy by practicing extreme self-care. (diet, sleep, exercise, relaxation techniques).

Stress takes its toll on health and may exacerbate conditions already in existence.  Therefore we need to be more diligent in this realm in order to   "Thrive Amidst Chaos" (the title of a workshop I co-presented with two colleagues recently).

8.  Stop procrastinating and take action- move forward or drop the project.

We all procrastinate; acknowledgement of being in this mode is the firststep in moving forward.  All procrastination is fear based and manifests itself through negative statements such as: 

"not the right time now"
"why even bother...can happen (worst case scenario)."
 Some
times the act of "non-doing" is an indication that the idea needs to be tossed.

 What holds us back from accomplishing our goals is fear.

  • Fear of failure
  • Fear of being judged
  • Fear of success
  • Fear of being controlled

 These fears are often caused by deeply routed anxieties.  No matter- you can turn it all around with EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques: Meridian Tapping) combined with positive language-visualization reframing and Peak Performance Success Coaching   and the intention to do just that!

The following are a few common phrases/excuses people use when they are procrastinating: The task is:
“too boring”
“too time consuming”
“I just don’t feel like it”
“I just don’t want to”.

The Good news is that   EFT ( The Emotional Freedom Technique) is wonderfully successful in  reversing procrastination, as usually deeper emotional issues are involved.  It is based on the simple statement that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system . It involves tapping on meridian points while making  statements about the issue.         

Knowing that you are afraid will not magically remove fear or change behavior.  You can use The EFT Technique to eradicate the roadblocks of guilt and fear that keep you from moving forward. When you use EFT and stimulate the acupressure points (see chart) the level of serotonin in the brain rises and floods the amygdalia, the section of the brain involved with controlling emotion and fear, and the fear loop is disconnected.  Once the brain stops experiencing fear with the proper EFT tapping, set-up phrase (see below examples) and intuitive NLP language guidance from an experienced EFT Practitioner, which I am, you will find that your thoughts and behaviors transform effortlessly.

9.  Begin each day with a short meditation positive visualizations of successful outcomes of your goals.

 Oh! I am so much a believer in this!  Research has shown fantastic results.  It's all up to you - and your connection to a higher power/the universe.

10.  Believe in yourself and your goals; create affirmations and post them onto mirrors, in an accessible notebook and in the car.

I've witnessed amazing escalation in self esteem, happiness, productivity and success with the implementation of these tips for my clients.

It doesn't matter what you call it.  What matters is that you find it and tap into it and then share how you did that with as many people as you can.  

 

What has come out of all of this is we all do a one to four minute video showing in some way or expressing how we make our dreams come true.

If it isn't a video than something else visual or audo that can be played on a facebook wall real time.  You will also type real time on the wall and that will go out to Twitter and Linked in reaching  close to 200,000 people to start.


Share from an authentic place with one intention to be of service to whoever needs to hear your message.

Yes, Life changer is changing and it's changing because it's changing me.  I am not trying to control this or make it something it's not.  I was doing that, I tried that but it wasn't working. 

 

I  just stopped and let the message come through and when I did, I saw the most incredible vision.  It was about my purpose on this plant at this time in my life and how I can be one of the people that guide you to find your purpose so you can guide others to find theirs.

Ever since I tapped into what the universe was trying to tell me I have seen clearly, what this "really" is and it's not up to me to decide who is a part of it.  It's up to me to put it out there and the people who are supposed to be a part of it will see it show up in their lives and know. 

 

How to make your wish come true  will go on every Tuesday until it ends. That can be in one month or one year or two years or never.  It is what it turns out to be and that is beauty.  If you do what is real and you go outside your comfort zone to get there you will have a true-life changing experience of the best kind.

 

 

If you are reading this, it's because this message is for you.  If you don't  see this you won't know you didn't see it and I rest my case. :)

Are You Loving Your New Attitude?

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, is that one size does not fit all, and I don’t mean clothes-wise, I mean, people-wise.  We get into new relationships with certain expectations, only to be disappointed (some times.) - hy?  Because ONE size doesn’t fit all.  Not one person fulfills all your needs, not one child, will be the “be all” for you, and at times, not all parents will be there when you need them. 



Life happens. And yet, as individuals, we have powers beyond our own comprehension, which is why sometimes we don’t use them, simply because….we don’t even know,nor see that those powers are there for us to use as we see fit, only if we could see them and have the know-how to use them.

That’s why it is so important to have a new attitude in life and use it….!  And while at it…..LOVE it!  This is one of the most fundamental ways of moving ahead towards achievement and success. 

Is it easy?  Hell, no.  Is it attainable?  You bet it is.  It is all about what you want, when you want it, and how you want to accomplish it.  And most importantly, WHY you want to attain it.  Without the WHY, not much will happen, which brings me back to:  One size DOES NOT fit all!

CONSIDER:

• Are you different?
• If so, how?
• Is it bravery or is it convenience?
• Can you be loud enough about what you want?
• Are you open to changes?

OPTIONS:

• You can choose to stay the same.  (Really???!!!)
• You can choose the middle of the road.
• You can decide to add life to your years.
• You can decide to add years to your life!
• You can decide that one size does NOT fit all!

POINTS TO PONDER:

• A life well-lived, is the icing on the cake.
• An attitude adjustment is a welcome relief.
• When no one is looking, you share your broadest smile.
• An alternative size fits you like a glove.
• Happiness is….whatever you want to make it.


ACTION PLAN:

• Do something outrageous.
• Document it.
• Have it clear this is for now, and not just for posterity.
• Consider what one thing you would do now that you would NEVER leave for later?  Then, DO IT!
• Enjoy every second of it, and know in your heart, that one size does not fit all.  This is your time to enjoy your new attitude adjustment.

Managing Stress for the Holidays with EFT

-Even tho I know the holidays are about gratefulness & peace (inner and outer!)) and I feel full of dread, I know I can get thru this.

check in with your stress level about the holdays and I bet it's much lower.
Repeat this everyday, visualize positive celebrations, take time for yourself and keep up the gratefulness lists.

Today I Vow to Live My Life For Me

Today, I vow to live my life.
MY life.


Not the life that I think I am supposed to live.
Not the life that my loved ones want me to live.
Not the life that I was brought up to live.

MY life.
The life where I wake up each morning and put my authentic foot forward.
The life where I continually reach higher and higher toward my higher purpose.
The life where I keep my word to myself and to others.
The life where I put into practice all that I preach.
The life where I am aware that the choices I make will become my future.
The life where I make choices based on living my best life rather than making choices based on someone else’s version of my best life.

Today, I vow to live MY life.
The life where my soul runs the show.
The life where my heart is on my sleeve.
The life where gut feelings rule over mindless chatter.
The life where love is love and that is that.
The life where I stand up for myself.
The life where I say how I’m truly feeling.
The life where I’m always honest with myself and with others.
The life where I am always me – not some version of myself that I think everyone else wants me to be.

Today, I vow to live MY life.
Not some copycat version of someone else’s life.
I vow to be strong when faced with challenges.
I vow to always keep the faith when it feels impossible to go on.
I vow to stay true to my inner compass and absolutely never compromise who I am.
I vow to see that self care does not equal selfishness.
I vow to fill my own cup up first and only then fill the cups around me.
