Confronting Your Fear The Letter That Change My Life
By Daniel Cohen-Emotional Wellness Counselor
Have you ever wanted to confront your fears?
What would you tell them and why? Our fears come in all shapes
and sizes, but no matter what, we MUST NOT let them get in the
way of anything that we want to accomplish in life. If you could
write a letter to your fear, what would it sound like?
Would it be full of anger and hate? Or would it be a letter that
tells your fear how it has helped shape you and allowed you to
move on with your life? Any fear is scary, and any fear CAN and
WILL be OVERCOME, you just have to give it time.
I’ve found that by telling my clients to address their
fears in a letter has been a very therapeutic and
helpful way in addressing their fear and letting it know that
they have carried it around for long enough and they are READY to
LET IT GO. Here is an example that I have written to my fear. How
would you address yours?
Dear fear,
I know you are here, and I acknowledge that. Even though you may
show up from time to time, I WILL NOT let you take control of my
life! Regardless of how often you try and defeat me, NOTHING will
get in my way of following through on what my life has in store
for
me. Thank you for keeping me on my toes and
making me a much stronger person.
Here are some ways to help conquer your fears:
- Write your fear a letter: Letter it know how you feel. How it has hurt your progress and how it has also made you stronger to move on and follow your dream.
- Journal your fears: Write down what makes you afraid. When we write down what is holding you back, it will allow you to reflect and loosen fears grip by observing it. The more you acknowledge that your fear is there, the less of a threat it will become
- Take small steps: All it takes is one step, not a giant leap. Taking small steps towards your fear is better than taking none at all. Remember every small step taken is equals one big step towards conquering your fear.
- Believe in yourself: Don’t cloud your mind up with negative thoughts. Know that YOU CAN do anything that you wish to do. Set up your mind for success and take it from there.
Keep on Keeping on Everyone,
Danny

The Real Reason You Were Called To Be In Business For Yourself
By Barb Conelli, PhD - Money Coach & Business Mentor
There's one fabulous reason why you
were called to be in business for yourself: You are
meant to be great. You are meant to soar and uplift others along
the way.
You are meant to stare your fears right in the eyes and then go
ahead, do what you're called to do, and Be Boldly Brilliant.
Whenever you come up with a new idea, whenever you're about to
step out of your comfort zone into the unknown, the voice of your
Ego Mind, your Inner Gremlin, will try to take you out, giving
you hundreds of reasons why you can't.
But your soul will always be there, waiting, giving you
gentle nudges, until you get it: Once you take the
first, tiny step toward what you're called to do, you will always
be supported by the Divine Love.
Boldly Brilliant Action
Step: What is the idea or desire that keeps coming
back into your life? What is the inspired action that you've been
attracted to but haven't dared to take?
Today, get out of your way. Make a list of why
you actually CAN - and then go ahead and take the first tiny
step. There's always a way, and once you show up with courage and
determination, you will be divinely guided and
supported.

The Past is Behind You for a Reason How to Let it GO!
By Barb Conelli, PhD - Money Coach & Business Mentor
Being stuck in your past, reviewing
what went wrong, what you could have done differently,
what you should or shouldn't have done or said. That's a very
toxic place to be. It's a dark maze filled with guilt and shame
that doesn't allow you to see the light outside its walls.
What's your past, really? Only a series of
choices and decisions that you made at a certain point in your
life, based on your knowledge, wisdom and previous experience,
using the resources available to you at that time. That choice
was necessary for you to grow, learn and become better. That
choice, and its result, is a gem to be used to learn and discover
who you are and what you really truly want. The shame and guilt
is not about the choice, but about the judgment that you see the
choice through.
Boldly Brilliant Action
Step: Pick one choice or decision from the past that
still haunts you. Write down all the constrictive, negative
emotions connected to it. Now ask yourself: What did I learn from
this? How was this meant to help me on my path?
How does this experience empower you? Write down
the new, positive, encouraging emotions connected to the
situation now that you have turned it around. Remember, the way
you see it, and the way you deal with it, is a choice, and it's
only up to you.

Your Boldly Brilliant Thursday: Inspiration and Meditation
By Barb Conelli, PhD - Money Coach & Business Mentor
Do you know that by the time you
reached school age, you had heard the word "no" approximately 40
thousand times, while the word "yes" only 6 thousand
times?
Parents, although they usually mean well and only want to protect
us, focus on what we cannot do, and do not reinforce enough what
we can do. Achievements, little successes and accomplishments
that should be celebrated are taken for granted, and the things
they perceive as "failures" or "mistakes" are made a big deal
of.
No wonder that as adult women in business, we often find it
difficult to set proper boundaries and recognize what we want to
say yes to, and what we need to say no to.
Today, make it your intention to say YES to bold opportunities, even if they scare you. To growth, even if you feel resistance. To reaching out, even if you feel insecure. To receiving money with joy.
To Being Boldly Brilliant in your business and in your life. And also make it your intention to say NO to energy-draining activities. To high-maintenance, demanding people. To overdelivering and undercharging. To disempowering situations.
To lack and negativity. To everything that makes you feel less than the Brilliant Goddess that you are!

You Always Have a Choice!
By Eileen Lichtenstein - Peak-Performance-Success Coach
I became fearless going on the “scary” rides in Coney Island, Brooklyn as a child even though I never would go on the parachute- there were known accidents on that one and I was very safety conscious- Mom was a worrier.
Going in the front car of the roller coaster, approaching the top (with friends of course ) and looking at the big drop ahead gave no time to do anything except scream & hold on tight! So it went through the fun summer months. Thinking back over the years, I did many courageous things and not much scared me. Here are a few that got me thinking back to the scary rides...:
Walking on hot coals while on a
mind body spirit retreat in Santa Fe ( first time away
from my young children too). We had lots of prep time and
when it was my turn I was ready. Awesome.
Skiing. This wasn’t worth it for me; injured and it
could’ve been worse… Later on I took up cross
country- fun!
Para sailing Puerto Vallarta: This
was the ultimate overcome of fear of heights for me. I
was sitting on the beach for several days meditating (and
drinking pina coladas) and surprised myself with the
conscious decision into action. Very challenging and I did look
down a few times when I wasn’t looking at the
mountain.
Riding a bicycle in Amsterdam last week.
Steve and I were visiting our daughter who lives
there with her Spanish boyfriend. The city is really set up
for cycling but I convinced myself it would be tough, it's
difficult enough being a pedestrian there- ‘cause of all the
bicycles!
My daughter went off riding with my husband and after a
while came back to get me- they knew I would love it and it was
only a few blocks to Vondel Park. Steve and I visited that
city 40 years ago and rode our bikes around that we bought
in Italy.
Back on the trip forty years ago- we rode our bikes out of
Florence (where we bought the racers- and mine was a boy’s
with the bar- the only kind made at the time) and I scared
myself with a coughing attack that precipitated me throwing
the pack(s) of Marlboros out- which was scary ‘cause I
couldn’t imagine not smoking “cold turkey” which I succeeded at.
And it was difficult- maybe not scary- to totally change our
travel plans so that we went back to the city and got the
bikes on trains that rode out of the seven hills, through the
Alps and landed us in Germany to enjoy the rolling hills (so
we could use all the gears ) and along the Rhine
onto Holland. Of course we stopped to eat and sleep in
foreign lands- sometimes in hostels and sometimes in the
forest, scary and amazing.
I’m happy to be telling you all now. When friends and strangers comment on (both) our daughters living in Europe – I smile and am happy we brought them up with roots and wings - and the ability to navigate the scary and unknown.
• The scariest thing of all for me was
9/11 and the period following that. Were we really
OK? Then it became more than me and being empty
nested- yes our daughters already just in Europe- and it
was much more than getting off the coach and
back onto the treadmill and back into the gym-
even that was scary after a dark
period.
- Now getting through the airports is kinda scary. Getting off the Long Island RR into Penn station is fine if I look straight ahead and focus. That’s it, and what I recommend:

Getting Ready and Being Grateful!
By Eileen Lichtenstein - Peak-Performance-Success CoachI'm getting ready and being grateful.

- for my vacation to Europe and visit with our daughters & family!
- to complete stuff or place in holding pattern before leaving
- ducks in a row for when I return

Soo... I am really grateful
- that I've been able to enjoy the sunshine walking at the Long Island shore viewing surfers riding post storm waves all week
- that my family and friends were not personally involved in 9/11 destruction of Twin Towers
- that I know how to pace myself (usually:))
- that I'm recovering from a car accident

- that I understand and most often know how not to take bad stuff personally

Embracing the Freefall
By Jodi Chapman - Inspirational Author
Have you ever pushed through all of your fears, walked right up to the edge, and leaped toward your dreams?
I bet you have. We all have.
How did you feel?
Excited? Elated? Proud? Light?
Maybe. Hopefully.
But what if while you were expecting to feel all of those emotions during the freefall between your old life and your dream life, you instead felt sick to your stomach and even more fearful than you already were?
What then?
What if during that freefall you started to question it all? What if you started to wonder why you had jumped in the first place? What if you worried that your dream wouldn’t be there to catch you?
What if that scared part of you began to ask yourself some tough questions: What were you thinking? Who were you to leap at all, anyway? Why couldn’t you just be happy and content with the way your life currently was? Why can’t you just enjoy this moment of pure faith – this moment of bravely leaping into the unknown?
What do you do if your freefall is filled with doubt and fear instead of joy and confidence?
You embrace it.
Seriously. While it may seem that this is the opposite of what you would want to do, it’s what you must do. If you resist it or judge it or run from it, it will only grow. When you embrace yourself for feeling this way and acknowledge the fearful feelings and the uncertainty, you allow yourself to move through it. And only when you move through it will it subside.
When you remind yourself that it’s perfectly normal and natural to feel this way, you give yourself permission to be in that space without judgment. When you remember how strong you were to leap in the first place – knowing that it took a special kind of bravery to be able to do that – you begin to turn these fearful feelings into empowered feelings. When you reconnect with that part of you who leaped because you couldn’t imagine doing anything else, you reconnect with your soul. When you pat yourself on the back for being strong enough to follow your heart, you begin to overpower any negative emotion. When you remind yourself how amazing you are for having the guts to do something like this, you allow the love to flow where before there was only fear.
And after all of this, you remember that the freefall is about surrender. The freefall is about faith. The freefall is about having complete trust that you are right where you are supposed to be.
When you land, you can reassess. When you land, you can make sure you’re really where you need to be. When you land, you can look around and see how this new world feels. When you land you can make sure it’s right. There is a time for all of this. But it’s not right now. Not during the freefall.
Embrace the freefall.
The freefall is evidence that you’re living fully. This is your moment to just sit back and relax. You did it. You leaped into pure faith – you believed that the universe and your dreams would support you and catch you. And they will.
Tell your mind that it’s all okay. Your heart knows this already. And your soul is leading the way.
There is no better feeling than landing right smack in the middle of a dream. And the only way to get there is to leap and freefall into it.
Embrace this moment.
This is your moment.
This is your freefall.

I am experiencing my own freefall right now as I’m getting ready to launch my first ecourse called Coming Back to Life (based on my upcoming book)!
I am excited and scared and joyful and worried and elated and uncertain all at the same time. But what I know in my heart is that I am so excited to offer this to you – so whatever fear is surrounding it needs to take a back seat so that I can bring it into the world.
I am so grateful that each of you are here to support me. I love
that we are supporting each other. And that’s what this course is
all about – coming back to life and reaching our dreams together.
Let’s freefall together, too!
(More details about the course soon – it
starts on 9/17!)
